One of the most recognized Marine Corps Veterans, as well as TV icons in military history, R. Lee Ermey well knows as "Gunny", was a vibrant, unique and well-defined collector. In fact, his family says, “If he liked it he bought it.” Meaning that in his world travels, he collected many items. But always near and dear to his heart was memorabilia of the United States Marine Corps. Who knows how much?
Certainly, at each of the thousands of functions he attended he would always leave with a token of appreciation. Therefore, his collection of items from Marine Corps units around the world is significant.
